August Phillips
Wellness and Health Coach
About
Through Momentum, I get the privilege of working with others to reach their full potential. My background in psychology and counseling, coupled with my extensive training in holistic health and wellness provides a foundation of knowledge and skill to make informed recommendations and intuitive assistance to you on your journey. My style is direct, supportive, and encouraging.
My Approach
Real change happens through building sustainable habits, not with quick fixes. Habits can be difficult to form, so we focus on small, easy steps. My goal is to help you implement changes without feeling overwhelmed. I understand that life is busy, so together we create a plan that fits into your lifestyle and preferences. Consistency is key.
In between coaching sessions, you'll receive support and feedback through accountability check-ins. Communication is the essence of coaching, whether you need encouragement or even a little bit of tough love. I don’t just focus on what you need to do - I help you understand why you’re doing it, how to make it work for you, and what it takes to create lasting change. Together we help you discover your motivation and build momentum!
Knowledge is power. Often times we know what we should be doing, but don't know how to do it. Other times we don't know where to start. Conflicting advice and information is everywhere; It can be overwhelming and confusing. I keep current with evidence-based research and best practices so that you receive information that is accurate and helpful.
